Bounded Basketball
Bounded Basketball is for youth clubs: players, parents and coaches. Coaches know what to teach: shooting, dribbling, passing, defending, the rules and the plays. The app shows, task by task, the way of teaching that makes each one stick, and helps with the hard parts, such as explaining to a family why their child is in one team and not another. It is in English for clubs in England and in Portuguese for clubs in Portugal, and everything is open while we test it.

The idea we are testing
Connected to the Bounded Companion
What a child practises at the club can be followed at home in the Bounded Companion: a missed shot at training becomes a moment the family and the child make sense of together. Bounded Basketball works alongside the Companion and does not replace it.
Where it is now
A first prototype exists. It is unfinished and changes often, so what you see may differ from what we finally release.
When it is ready, it graduates into a product or service.
Who it is for
Short lessons on how players anticipate, feel and adapt, and drills designed so skills hold under match pressure.
Words for what happens in their body, and routines they practise like any other skill.
What to say after a bad match, and what to watch for, in the Companion.
Taking part
We are looking for a youth club to shape this with: coaches willing to try a pressure ladder for half a season, and players and parents willing to tell us what changes.
We're here to help
Let's talk
Tell the Companion about a moment that puzzles you, or write to Ricardo directly.
