Bounded Psychoeducation

A psychoeducation programme for young people in secondary school. In short sessions built around worked examples, they learn how the brain anticipates what happens next, how feelings are built from body signals and context, why people differ, and what they can try when things feel hard. We are designing it now and will test it with schools.

The idea we are testing

1Understanding before adviceYoung people learn how they work before anyone tells them what to do about it.
2Their own wordsEach session helps them describe what they feel and expect in language that fits them, rather than a label.
3Something small to tryEvery session ends with one thing to try and notice, so the ideas are tested in their own life.

Where it is now

There is nothing to try yet. We are shaping it with the people it is for, and will show it once it works.

When it is ready, it becomes part of Learn, free to read and use.

Who it is for

Young people

A way to understand themselves that does not start with a label.

Schools

A programme that fits the timetable, with materials ready to use.

Families

A shared language at home for what is happening and what to try.

Taking part

The programme is being written now. If you work in a secondary school and would like to try the first sessions, write to Ricardo.
